Those who know me know I’m a bit of a bold-lip obsessive. I adore classic pillar-box reds and deep plummy fuchsia’s, and am forever on the lookout for that perfect catch-all shade. But what I hate is lip colour that doesn’t last.
Charlotte and I had so much fun writing this feature for local lifestyle magazine, Cambridge Edition. We often trawl through the re-purposed trends from the catwalk feeling a dull sense of déjà vu, but for this one we got together around mine to write the copy together, which is something we haven’t done in ages – usually bouncing ideas between What’sApp and Googledocs. Of course it doubles as a great excuse for our dogs to have a play as well. Toby is fast approaching his first birthday and it’s so sweet to see their little friendship growing and developing. Two dogs who couldn’t be more different, sharing moments 🙂
Growing up on a farm I wasn’t the girliest of girls – but who can resist a lovely bit of pastel pink? A quick post today to show off some of my latest goodies – ideal for a pop of colour and brightening an otherwise gloomy pre-winter day!
I’m currently researching into must-have products for AW14. Now, since we’ve been working on these trend reports, Charlotte and I have noticed
all certain trends seem to repeat themselves, regardless of style nor season – but i’m ok with this. While I may be wowed by some of the incredible artistry from the catwalks, when it comes to my everyday makeup look it’s way more toned-down – which is just how I want it.
Perfect for anytime of year, a girls-best-friend has to be a classically chic makeup regime. Click below to see one of our recent features on how to achieve this smokin’ look from Cambridge Edition Magazine.
We all love a freebie right? Late last week Charlotte contacted me to say an offer had popped up on her Facebook feed from the Bobbi Brown UK page to receive a deluxe sample when you book a complimentary makeup lesson. Exciting much!
With the weather taking a terrible turn, and Christmas around the corner (yes, we haven’t started our X-mas shopping yet either!) there’s never been a better time to think a little harder about your skincare routine. Harsher winter weather means protecting the skin most exposed to the conditions – and this season, that means your face! Get yourself a great primer and make your make-up work harder. Take a look at our recent article from Cambridge Edition and Bury Edition September issues.
