I was off work with a horrible cold earlier this week – so had to pass the time while also being bedridden. I’d been gagging to try out the Ted Baker duo, Golden Girl, a slick light metallic gold and a super chic gold glitter. So this was the ideal activity to make me feel a bit better.
We love supporting Lush Cosmetics regular campaigns, and last year Charlotte and I shared shots for #crueltyfreekisses. I tweeted a picture from my instagram account wearing their gorgeous ‘believe’ liquid lipstick from the Emotional Brilliance range.
We recently tested out various Beauty Boxes for our feature with Cambridge Edition and Bury Edition, and my gosh we had fun – so tempting to subscribe to every single one, I mean, how nice to receive something in post that isn’t bills, junk mail and pizza menu’s (actually the pizza is quite tempting too…)
Last week I finally got around to attempting some nail art I had seen on Instagram (thanks to SheWhoDoesNails) that I had wanted to try for weeks. These are hand painted but look amazing! With the right colours, some fine paint brushes and a little patience it shouldn’t take longer than 2 hours to achieve these nails for yourself. Continue reading

As big fans of a matte lip, we were so excited to hear of MAC’s latest launch for AW13. The new Retro Matte formula includes eight Pro Longwear Lip Pencils and eight Lipsticks, plus we’ve heard that all 16 shades are going to be here to stay, so no fear (for now at least!) of falling for a limited edition colour only to have have the pain of it becoming discontinued. We were lucky enough to get our hands on one of their most striking shades in the collection; All Fired Up is a confident fuchsia red that is surprisingly easy to wear for its initial bold appearance, where I feel the matte finish offers a more grown up look to this cracking candy colour.
